چکیده

This article considers the problem of estimating parameters compound admittance matrix three-phase untransposed low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution networks using synchrophasor measurements from phasor measurement units (PMUs). The work proposes analyzes performance a preprocessing strategy on PMU's raw measurements, which consists in grouping clusters and, then, averaged each cluster for estimation. step reduces noise level discards similar cluster, ultimately improving estimation quality regression-based methods such as least squares (LS) total (TLS). proposed approach uses linear model with nodal voltages, injection currents, branch currents. We adopt realistic polar coordinates, reflects accuracy class measuring instruments is projected to rectangular coordinates. validated by performing simulated experiments different CIGRE IEEE benchmark grids. Furthermore, includes sensitivity analyses policy (cluster type size), availability or currents well levels data.

Linear Three-phase State Estimation for Lv Grids Using Pseudo Measurements Based on Approximate Power Distributions

The large increase of distributed generation (DG) of photovoltaic (PV) systems in low voltage (LV) grids results in increasing voltage magnitudes and line loadings. Due to a lack of network observability in present LV grids, distribution system operators (DSOs) cannot detect and respond to any limit violations. Even with data collected by the expected rollout of smart meters, full network obser...

Frequency Estimation of Unbalanced Three-Phase Power System using a New LMS Algorithm

This paper presents a simple and easy implementable Least Mean Square (LMS) type approach for frequency estimation of three phase power system in an unbalanced condition. The proposed LMS type algorithm is based on a second order recursion for the complex voltage derived from Clarke's transformation which is proved in the paper. The proposed algorithm is real adaptive filter with real parameter...

Topology Estimation using Graphical Models in Multi-Phase Power Distribution Grids

Distribution grid is the medium and low voltage part of a large power system. Structurally, the majority of distribution networks operate radially, such that energized lines form a collection of trees, i.e. forest, with a substation being at the root of any tree. The operational topology/forest may change from time to time, however tracking these changes, even though important for the distribut...

Power System Observability and Dynamic State Estimation for Stability Monitoring Using Synchrophasor Measurements

Growing penetration of intermittent resources such as renewable generations increases the risk of instability in a power grid. This paper introduces the concept of observability and its computational algorithms for a power grid monitored by the wide-area measurement system (WAMS) based on synchrophasors, e.g. phasor measurement units (PMUs). The goal is to estimate real-time states of generator...
